Lake Kedrovoye Nature Reserve Adventures

Established in 1978, Lake Kedrovoye Nature Reserve is located in the southeastern part of Primorsky Krai, Russia, near the Ussuriysk region. This remote zapovednik is centered around Lake Kedrovoye, a large freshwater lake surrounded by mixed coniferous and broadleaf forests typical of the Sikhote-Alin mountain range’s foothills. The reserve spans roughly 2,140 hectares (about 5,287 acres) and serves as a vital refuge for many endangered and endemic species.
